SHAMROCKIN!

(sign hanging in a Temple Bar, Dublin Pub)

St Paddy's Day turned out to be a 4-day celebration...

First there was ShamrockFest in DC...cold, wet & CRAZY!

(Carbon Leaf here)
This was one wet, angry & drunken crowd...

(Pubcrawlers, Icewagon Flu )

Then there was the parade in Baltimore...again cold & wet (not so crazy).
Finally spent St. Patrick's Day w/ a few pints in the afternoon @ An Pointin Stil in Timonium...

...followed by an Irish dinner and a few more pints on Main Street in Bel Air.

(I have one gripe about the Bel Air pub scene that...where was the traditional Irish music? There were rock bands set up in tents at The Greene Turtle and Looneys? I guess this pleases some of the younger patrons, but I feel that this day should be rich in Irish culture & history. I say bring on the flutes, fiddles, bodhrans, and bagpipes!)

(just a few samples from my travels in Ireland)
